Okay guys, I’ve just decided that for the next 35 days I’m going nothing but fruits & veggies. Also, incorporating things like beans and almond milk etc for protein. But I want my body to feel nourished so no oils or breads or crap like that. If I can’t pick it off a tree, vine, ground whatever-it is NOT going into my body. Logging what I eat every night here starting tomorrow until Feb 14th yeah? That’s 35 days I think. Alright let’s do this!
Because I feel like health starts at home, and what better way to inspire clean habits than living in a clean environment!? This means I’m cleaning this sucker as if I were moving tomorrow. Also getting rid of a lot of stuff for charities-just because the holidays are over doesnt mean the season of giving is! Hope I’ve maybe inspired you to make your home match your lifestyle! x
Sometimes I feel like my friends talk to me about their boyfriends/all the attention from guys they get not because I’m a good friend and a good listener, but because they know that I the male species avoid me like the plague-they’re bragging because it makes them feel better about themselves and I know it. Sorry it’s not weight loss related, just our generation feels the need to post indirect stuff on the Internet to release frustrations. I’m going to go run in a bit I suppose, that helps more than blogging.
hi. i was wondering what your exercise routine has been lately? I'm hoping to loose 30 pounds. I have 3 months. I have to start working, but I don't know where to begin.
I would love to be of your assistance. I am a really active person, I go to the gym at least 6 days a week although its usually 7. I go for a little over an hour and start off with 20-30 minutes of cardio, sometimes 40 it all depends. I usually run on the treadmill for around 20 minutes at a 8-10 minute mile pace then hit the crosstrainer/elliptical for 10-15 minutes. After that I weight train, making sure I alternate working the arms/chest/back, abs, and legs/bum daily. Usually I look to youtube to find different routines. I recommend the sexychefbuff youtube channel if you’re a lady. After weight training I may do an extra ten minutes, usually run a quick mile. I also love to work out either in the morning or at night with workout routines I find on bodyrock.tv-they are FANTASTIC! Other than that I just make sure I keep moving the whole day, just little things like parking further away from my destination, walking the dogs, cleaning-as long as I’m not sitting around for more than a half hour at a time. On top of that I recommend a lot of walking and JUMP ROPE. Gosh jump rope is a killer way to work your entire body. Devote 10 minutes every day to it and you will see results my friend!
I hope this finds you well and best of luck to you. I’m no doctor or fitness guru, still trying to figure this all out myself, but I hope you find some solution in my advice. 30lbs is an huge change, I wish you success, and hope whatever you do to get there is wise and healthy and you are happy with your end result.
Have fun & make sure if you don’t look like death at the end of a workout you aint doin’ it right!…kidding, well sorta :P
Hello, I just wanted to ask where did you get all the quotes from on your countdown calenders? I'm thinking about starting one myself and I think the inspirational quotes are such a good idea.
Sorry to get back to you so late dear, thank you so much! I definitely encourage you to start one, if you haven’t already. As far as quotes go I’ve found a few on thinspo blogs but most of them I made up myself-they were just messages I wanted to tell my future self every day that would keep me on track! Best of luck! x
I just came across your tumblr today, your start weight is the same as mine, you've truly inspired me. Good luck! I am also vegan, and an ex-ED addict (that sounds bad but i feel like i was addicted to my eating disorder.) I am doing this the right way. I am going to use your 100 day countdown calendar, i am in LOVE with the idea. hugs and love, brit
So glad to have inspired someone, thats what keeps me going as well. Heres a big hug! YES, I absolutely love being vegan, it can get dangerous at times because there are tons of yummy vegan treats haha but for the most part it does help keep me on track. I know what you mean, I struggled with anorexia for a brief period but luckily I have parents who called me out on it before it got too serious, doesn’t mean its totally out of my system. I have days where I wont eat or when I do eat there’s ‘that voice’ in my head that I’m sure you know all too well telling me that this meal is going to make me gain 5 pounds. It’s crazy and I wish I had never done that to myself, but in a sense I guess it makes me a stronger person. I definitely encourage you to do the calendar-It definitely worked for me, unfortunately I just chose a really bad time to start it. I will be back on that horse in the future but as of right now, I’m just taking it day by day until my head is fully in the game.
hugs and best of luck!
P.S. thanks for your message about the nail polish. Its Delia’s brand and I love it! So bright and cheery!!
I chose DownButNotOutKay because ‘down but not out’ is the mantra I’ve lived by for quite a while. I’m an underdog in every aspect and I’m a failure all the same, but I’m not a quitter, I’m never out. So every time I log on to tumblr I’ll see this and remember that I may have screwed up on a meal or a workout that will have me down, but I’m not going to stop until that scale is in the 120’s. I got this, you got this. Lets do this!
now I’m going to go answer a few of my asks, God knows how old they are haha!
Yes-it was water weight so it comes off really quick. There was a day or two that I didn’t really eat anything but that was just because my stomach couldn’t handle food at that point. It’s all done in a healthy way-so I’m not expecting to pull those numbers every week haha!
I went hard at the gym today, I only ran a 1.25 miles but I did it in 10 minutes which ruled for me! I decided to get back on the elliptical since running has been doing a number on my knees, and ooooh man, that was painful but it was the best feeling pain ever. I tried to focus a lot on my butt and core and I think I did just that today! I did many variations of squats (sumo, sliders, jump, prisoner, weighted, bench) I did butt & side kicks (DEF works that gluteus to it’s maximus). I worked a little bit on my arms, back, and chest with variations of a push up on the physioball-but not enough to brag about. For my core I did some planks, ow, scissor kicks, OW, and reverse pop-up crunches, OOWWW! I felt so good after I did 15 minutes on the elliptical again and upped the resistance then walked/jogged with my dogs for a half hour-you know bonded and stuff. Now I think I’ll do some more bum/core work at home before I go to bed. Yeah, that sounds good. I’ve had so much motivation these past few days because I’m now in the mindset that I will NOT look like this the next time I see my dude in January & February
oh no sir, I’m going to be HOT! Watch me, I dare you! Now, Back to work on mah ayssss
wht do u think is the best way to lose weight the fastest? because ive been ana for a while, but its killing me. i need to lose weight, but starving myself isnt working. you mentioned something about losing 10 pounds in a week? how would i do that
I’m not a dietician or trainer by ANY means whatso ever, this is just from my personal experience. I was annorexic for a short bit and I’m telling you YOURE RIGHT! it’s the worst thing I’ve EVER done to my body-plus I lost more weight last week than I did the entire time I wasn’t eating. Now not to discourage you right off the bat, but there isn’t a way to lose weight fast unless you don’t plan on keeping it off. Last week was my first week so the weight I lost was all water weight which drinking an ass load of water every day definitely helps speed up the process-you’ll pee like crazy but thats good. Since you’ve not been eating properly you may gain a little bit of weight at first-so don’t get discouraged, thats so normal, just keep going. I try to eat 4-6 small meals a day, I’m vegan so my food choices are good more often than not. Eat the rainbow-meaning incorporate different variations of fruits and veggies. I like to try and make one meal a smoothie or juice everyday, usually breakfast or post-workout snack. Eat lots of fiber-yes, more time spent on the toilet! And I workout 6-7 times a week, but the normal for weight-loss is generally 3-5 times. I love YouTube for this, I always look up different workouts that I can do at home so I’m not at the gym all day. And, yeah thats pretty much it, drink water (and green tea!), eat the rainbow (just not the skittles), and workout a healthy amount and youre on your way. Just don’t be focused on trying to lose it ‘Fast’ that’s where I’ve lost myself so many times because I get discouraged, give your body time to develop good habits and make good choices!
Best of luck to you, sorry for my long ass response! And feel free to talk to me anytime you need, I’m always here!
Hey you. You know how you have that countdown page and your photos go straight there. How can i do that. Like if i want my page to just be called countdown too.. what do i do? Does this make any sense? lol
Yeah makes perfect sense :) go to where you can customize your blog and scroll down to the >Pages selection click +Add A Page choose the redirect option at the top where it says standard layout, under page URL add a simple phrase at the end of the /, I just used ‘countdowncalendar’ then under redirect to you’ll put your tumblr URL/tagged/ whatever it is you want the page to be, mine is /countdown+calendar-remember to include the + if it’s more than one word :) lastly under show a link to this page check the box and type in the title you want to appear on your blog. Tag every post you want to appear on the page as the tag you put under the redirect URL, so for mine I tag each day as countdown calendar. Hope THAT made sense haha! Take care, let me know if you still have questions!-Kay x
