Down But Not Out

My name is Kay, and this is my journey to 140 lbs. My ultimate goal is 127, but I decided to set a more realistic goal for this course of 100 days. My journey won't be over at the end of this cycle-but it's the kick start I need. I was inspired by the method of MTV's 'I Used To Be Fat' in that I've created a countdown calendar with mini goals and motivational words written on each day. I hope to inspire you as much as I hope to inspire myself. I'm worth this change and you are too!
Starting Weight: 187
Current Weight: 177.5
Highest Weight: 197
Goal Weight in 100 Days: 140
Ultimate Goal Weight: 127 (50.5 lbs to go!)
Wow, yeah exactly. Well no Gangsta rap but definitely some head bangers ;)

Haha I guess if I’m ever having a crap day where I feel like I’m making no progress, I can always look back at this photo and thank my lucky stars I don’t look like that anymore. So I guess in a sense I have made SOME progress over the past few years! lol

Sometimes I feel like my friends talk to me about their boyfriends/all the attention from guys they get not because I’m a good friend and a good listener, but because they know that I the male species avoid me like the plague-they’re bragging because it makes them feel better about themselves and I know it. Sorry it’s not weight loss related, just our generation feels the need to post indirect stuff on the Internet to release frustrations. I’m going to go run in a bit I suppose, that helps more than blogging.

I am going to keep reblogging this until I know that she’s okay.

PLEASE reblog this video, to get the word out and see if anybody knows her in person. I don’t want to see her die, with so much potential. She’s attempting suicide, and needs to seek medical attention asap. <3

She’s already taken medication along with a good amount of alcohol, and she needs to see a doctor asap. She is such a beautiful girl with so much of her life still ahead of her.

holy crap that made me cry, a lot, I really hope she’s okay. please be okay.

I am crying and freaking out, I seriously need to know if this beautiful young girl is okay. I would hate to see someone go if they didn’t have to. I wish she could see herself through everyone else’s eyes and see just how great she is. That she is beautiful. Just like all of you. I’ve had days like her-I went to the gym for two hours a day seven days a week and worked my ass off but I never lost anything. Plateaus suck, and especially when you’re as this as she is pounds are NOT going to melt off of you because theyre not supposed to. Just remember to keep your head up and keep fighting. You are beautiful. I sincerely hope this girl is okay.

Anonymous asked: hi. i was wondering what your exercise routine has been lately? I'm hoping to loose 30 pounds. I have 3 months. I have to start working, but I don't know where to begin.

I would love to be of your assistance. I am a really active person, I go to the gym at least 6 days a week although its usually 7. I go for a little over an hour and start off with 20-30 minutes of cardio, sometimes 40 it all depends. I usually run on the treadmill for around 20 minutes at a 8-10 minute mile pace then hit the crosstrainer/elliptical for 10-15 minutes. After that I weight train, making sure I alternate working the arms/chest/back, abs, and legs/bum daily. Usually I look to youtube to find different routines. I recommend the sexychefbuff youtube channel if you’re a lady.  After weight training I may do an extra ten minutes, usually run a quick mile.  I also love to work out either in the morning or at night with workout routines I find on bodyrock.tv-they are FANTASTIC! Other than that I just make sure I keep moving the whole day, just little things like parking further away from my destination, walking the dogs, cleaning-as long as I’m not sitting around for more than a half hour at a time. On top of that I recommend a lot of walking and JUMP ROPE. Gosh jump rope is a killer way to work your entire body. Devote 10 minutes every day to it and you will see results my friend!

I hope this finds you well and best of luck to you. I’m no doctor or fitness guru, still trying to figure this all out myself, but I hope you find some solution in my advice. 30lbs is an huge change, I wish you  success, and hope whatever you do to get there is wise and healthy and you are happy with your end result.

Have fun & make sure if you don’t look like death at the end of a workout you aint doin’ it right!…kidding, well sorta :P
