Down But Not Out

My name is Kay, and this is my journey to 140 lbs. My ultimate goal is 127, but I decided to set a more realistic goal for this course of 100 days. My journey won't be over at the end of this cycle-but it's the kick start I need. I was inspired by the method of MTV's 'I Used To Be Fat' in that I've created a countdown calendar with mini goals and motivational words written on each day. I hope to inspire you as much as I hope to inspire myself. I'm worth this change and you are too!

Current Weight: 177.5

Goal Weight in 100 Days: 140
Ultimate Goal Weight: 127 (50.5 lbs to go!)

Sorry to get back to you so late dear, thank you so much! I definitely encourage you to start one, if you haven’t already. As far as quotes go I’ve found a few on thinspo blogs but most of them I made up myself-they were just messages I wanted to tell my future self every day that would keep me on track! Best of luck! x

So glad to have inspired someone, thats what keeps me going as well. Heres a big hug! YES, I absolutely love being vegan, it can get dangerous at times because there are tons of yummy vegan treats haha but for the most part it does help keep me on track. I know what you mean, I struggled with anorexia for a brief period but luckily I have parents who called me out on it before it got too serious, doesn’t mean its totally out of my system. I have days where I wont eat or when I do eat there’s ‘that voice’ in my head that I’m sure you know all too well telling me that this meal is going to make me gain 5 pounds. It’s crazy and I wish I had never done that to myself, but in a sense I guess it makes me a stronger person. I definitely encourage you to do the calendar-It definitely worked for me, unfortunately I just chose a really bad time to start it. I will be back on that horse in the future but as of right now, I’m just taking it day by day until my head is fully in the game.

I chose DownButNotOutKay because ‘down but not out’ is the mantra I’ve lived by for quite a while. I’m an underdog in every aspect and I’m a failure all the same, but I’m not a quitter, I’m never out. So every time I log on to tumblr I’ll see this and remember that I may have screwed up on a meal or a workout that will have me down, but I’m not going to stop until that scale is in the 120’s. I got this, you got this. Lets do this!

           What is up my friends!? Long time, VERY long time, no blog. Its been almost two months so I wouldn’t be surprised if you have forgotten about me, although I did log in to quite a few messages in my ask box asking whether or not I had died. Well, I’m blogging from Hell right now so I hope that answers your question. 
 Anyway, yes, I did stop the 100 day countdown. This blog had consumed my life, I was always on the mobile app checking it and posting and it got to be pretty hectic as it was during the holidays and the end of semester so I wanted to focus more of my energy on studying for finals and of course my family. I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or just December in general and your New Year was bright. Even though I am not continuing with the countdown calendar THIS time around, I may bring it back in the future. I suggest you give it a go. It did work for me, I just chose a bad time to start it. I will however still post my results on Feb 8th. 
 As far as how off track I got, not too shabby, I’ve just been doing enough to maintain my weight the last couple of months because I exercised a crap ton but my eating habits weren’t as good as they should be. But I am on a clean slate and I’ve restarted this blog because even though I grow obsessed with it, the Fitblr community really motivated me to not give up so I’m ready for this! 
 Happy New Year Y’all and I can’t wait for this new chapter!

I totally did this with my stationary bike :) only I had to use my wii controller so while I played I petaled. But it would be awesome if the game responded to your pedaling
